HIES 71 Mercy (KY) 70 OT

   The final game of the Naples Holiday Tournament provided some fireworks.  The Bears were caught sleeping in the first half, down 11 at the break.  HIES stormed back in the 2nd half with some stingy defense.  The game continued to go back and forth in the final minutes with neither team being able to take the lead.  In overtime, the lead continued to swing back and forth.  Mercy took the lead on 2 free throws with :17 left in the game.  On the ensuing possession, Marya Hudgins drove to the basket and was fouled.  She hit both free throws to give the Lady Bears the 1-pt lead with :08 and the Bears were able to come up with a stop to preserve the win.  
     Marya Hudgins had a career-night, leading the charge with 29pts and 12 rebounds.  Rachel Suttle also had a huge game with 17pts, 12reb, and 5ast, followed by Cierra Foster's 12pts, 7reb.  The win moves the Bears to (8-5) for the year.
